Welcome to Dalmeny House

I am delighted to welcome you to the website for Dalmeny House and estate, where my family has lived for over three hundred years. The house contains internationally renowned collections: one of French eighteenth-century furniture and Sèvres porcelain inherited from my Rothschild grandmother and another of Napoleonic portraits and memorabilia collected by my grandfather, the 5th Earl of Rosebery as well as paintings of the highest quality from the 16th to the 19th centuries. My wife and I live in the smaller rooms upstairs and open the main rooms of the house to the public for guided tours part of the year. The house and parts of the estate are also available for use by corporate and private groups throughout the year for tours, receptions and banquets, outdoor events and as a film location. In addition, we sometimes have cottages available for long-term rental. I hope that you will enjoy learning more about the house and estate and that we will have the pleasure of seeing you here in the future.
